Western Canada’s Leading Growth Companies Honoured at 2026 ScaleUP Awards Gala in Calgary

CALGARY, AB — June 15, 2026 — Leaders from across Western Canada gathered in downtown Calgary last week for the 2026 ScaleUP Awards Gala, recognizing some of the region’s most ambitious and high-performing growth companies and entrepreneurs.

Held at the Hyatt Regency Calgary as part of ScaleUP Week 2026, the annual awards program celebrates Western Canadian companies demonstrating exceptional leadership, innovation, growth, international expansion, sustainability, and community impact.

This year’s finalists represented companies from across Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan, collectively generating approximately $640 million in annual revenues, supporting more than 1,800 jobs, and demonstrating strong levels of export activity and international growth ambition — highlighting both the growing strength of Western Canada’s scaleup ecosystem and the increasing national visibility of the region’s entrepreneurial community.

The 2026 ScaleUP Awards recognized winners across seven pathway categories, alongside three main awards recognizing overall entrepreneurial and company excellence.

The ScaleUP Awards are part of the broader ScaleUP Week 2026 initiative, which brings together founders, CEOs, investors, policymakers, researchers, and ecosystem leaders to strengthen support for scaling businesses across Western Canada.

Now in its third year, ScaleUP Week has grown into one of Western Canada’s leading gatherings focused specifically on the challenges and opportunities associated with scaling businesses beyond the startup stage.

ScaleUP Week 2026 featured a series of events across Western Canada, including the Kickoff Party in Calgary, ScaleUP Summits in Calgary and Vancouver featuring internationally recognized speakers and business leaders, private entrepreneur breakfasts and dinners, and ScaleUP Social events in Edmonton and Winnipeg designed to strengthen regional connections across the scaleup ecosystem.
